M'Lanie Hunter Dance kicks off the Holiday season with our annual Nutcracker and Magical Toyshop. Both events are a wonderful demonstration of all the hard work, dedication, and incredible talent our students have!

The Nutcracker -- Sun., December 15th at the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center at 1pm.
Magical Toyshop -- Sun., December 15th at the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center at 5pm.
Tickets for the Nutcracker are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
Tickets to The Magical Toyshop are $18 in advance and $20 at the door.
Our ticket sales will be in the studio on the following dates/times:
Please note that tickets will be available for purchase on the sale dates listed above, as well as during the dress rehearsals. Ticket sales in the studio on our sale dates will be cash, credit, or check payments; In-Studio Ticket Sales are the only times you can use credit cards to pay for tickets. Ticket sales at the dress rehearsals and the day of the performances are cash only.
Checks must be made out to MHD when purchasing tickets.

Video recording and photography of any kind, is strictly, prohibited at all shows. You are welcome to come to our dress rehearsals & videotape and take pictures. A professional recording of all off our shows will be available. Forms will be at the recital.
We are so excited for you to see the special shows we have been working on!. Now for the details to help you be prepared to have the best experience possible:
Please have your dancer at Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center one hour prior to the show in full hair and make-up.
Hair requirements will be low bun slicked back without any flyaways for all dances this year.
Make-up requirements for all students are as follows: please have your child wear a red lipstick, rosy cheeks and colorful eye shadow, as the lights will wash out your child’s features on stage. Older students need eyeliner and mascara as well.
If your child has more than one number please label everything and send a bin or a garment bag to help them stay organized.
In addition, children in multiple numbers must wear nude undergarments. Please have your dancer arrive dressed in their first costume; running orders will be available at dress rehearsal.
Only bring clear liquids and non-messy snacks to eat while in costumes to preserve them for performance.
PLEASE NOTE: Children will not be allowed to go into the audience during intermission. After the Curtain Call your child will be released to one Parent holding the pass, which is given when you drop your child off. This is for security purposes and there will be no exceptions. Part of show etiquette is performing in the curtain call to thank your audience for attending performance.
Parents of younger children, please feel free to send something for your child to play with for when they are in the backstage area. Suggestions: Coloring books, board games, cards, books, etc.
Backstage Moms & Parent Helpers
Parents! We Need You☺ Please call the studio about signing up to be a Backstage Mom or Parent Volunteer. As your Child’s teacher may have multiple classes in the show, a Parent Volunteer is required for each class to supervise your children while they are not on stage.
Please arrange with the studio and let us know which show you can help with. Besides Backstage Parents, we need help with other tasks as well to ensure a fabulous & safe smooth running show (Security, Props, Set-up and Break-down, Ushers at the Door, etc).
